When I’m Not Blogging; Photo Series

May 13, 2019May 14, 2019Writing Melvi870 views

I don’t get to blog as regularly as I’d like to anymore. I thought that being a stay at home mom would give me more time to write. However, there are so many other things that happen around my writing that seem to come first and I’m okay with that. Here’s what I’ve been up to lately; in photos.

Hope everyone is well and had a wonderful Mother’s Day.

~Melvi

When I’m not blogging I could be found doing my best perfecting my nerdery in the following ways:

  1. Baking cakes, cupcakes, cobblers, smash cakes and such for family, friends and customers.

2. Pretending to be an artist – making signs and custom art for gifts or my Etsy shop (https://www.etsy.com/shop/WritingMelvi). Also working on illustrating a children’s book based on my crazy daughter (fingers crossed it will be done by the end of the summer).

3. Messing around in my yard, planting plants, feeding the wild birds (and identifying them on my new bird watching app) and making safe spaces for our very important pollinators (bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, etc.) You know, just 35 going on 95.

  • My 1st Bee – Bath
  • Mother’s Day gift for my Momma.
  • Hunting for plants with our beautiful neighbors!
  • Trying to attract some butterflies for my spawn.
  • Spanish Lavender
  • Some Sedum and a Silver Dollar Eucalyptus Tree!
  • Strawberry picking’ with friends.
  • Dinosaur planters.
  • Working on designing our dream yard!

Amongst baking, painting and gardening of course I have the pleasure of hanging out with my crazy little girl.

  • Can’t carry a tune, but loves singing. LOL
  • Trying to give us directions at the zoo.
  • Getting into Mommy and Daddy’s clothes.
  • Miss Rose came and stayed with us.

Until next week folks, or the following, or promise the following. 🙂
